Spectral Reflectance Indices’ Performance to Identify Seawater Salinity Tolerance in Bread Wheat Genotypes Using Genotype by Yield*Trait Biplot Approach

Salinity stress harms crop yield and productivity worldwide. This study aimed to identify genotypes with higher grain and/or salinity tolerance from forty bread wheat evaluated under seawater diluted at 4.0, 8.0, or 12.0 dS/m control (0.4 dS/m) in the 2019/20 2020/21 seasons. Six elite genotypes, namely 6, 16, 31, 33, 34, 36, were chosen tested a lysimeter 2020/21. The results showed significant differences (p ≤ 0.01) among for traits (GY), harvest index (HI), chlorophyll content (CCI), fluorescence parameter Fv/Fm, their interaction treatments. Additionally, detected ten all agronomic along spectral reflectance indices (SRI), e.g., curvature (CI), normalized difference vegetation (NDVI), triangular (TVI), modified absorption (MCARI), Genotype by (GT) genotype yield*trait (GYT) biplots are useful screening selection based on other associated (agronomic, physiological traits, combinations) as well (GSTI). In conclusion, this identified that 36 season 2 1 performed better than Kharchia 65 Sakha 8 season, which superior might be recommended sowing inclusion breeding program salt-affected soils. It was possible draw conclusion efficient identifying genotypic variance.
